Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Pedestal Desk

Description

This generously proportioned antique desk with plenty of working space is of extremely high quality & is in very good original condition. It’s solid mahogany, dating roughly to around the 1860-80’s period & has some fine features. The tooled leather writing surface has a wonderful colour. The top edge is gadrooned all the way around as is the bottom edge above the bracket feet, which have some subtle carvings on them. The drawers which are all graduated in depth have fine dovetails, locks & original brass handles. It lifts apart into three sections for easy transportation & is polished on the back.

Depth – 32 inches, 80 cm

Height – 31 inches, 78 cm

Knee height – 23 inches, 60 cm
