Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Designed in navette or marquise style, the ring showcases seven round faceted rubies - fabulous deep pink stones with slightly varying hue and tone - and has the kind of amazing antique character which you just don't find with modern items.
The rubies graduate in size from 2.5mm at the ends to 4.5mm in the centre, collectively weighing in at well over a carat.

The rubies are framed by two rows of diamonds, 18 in total; being early hand-worked rose-cut stones, some little more than chips, each is unique in shape and character.
Rendered in 14-15 carat gold and silver, the ring is in excellent antique condition.
Size K and a half (UK), 5.5 (US). The face of the ring measures 2.9 x 1cm (just over an inch tall) and it sits around 4mm above the finger.
Weight: 5.0g.
