Description

This antique solid mahogany desk chair has a very clever design & mechanism. It can sit extra close in the middle of a kneehole desk, because the arms are set back from the seat. What’s more, it has a very clever metal mechanism under the seat, which enable the seat section to slide forward in front of the legs. It has a curved back, with struts below & sits on shaped legs. This desk chair has the appearance of a navel captains desk chair & has quite slim proportions. It did have an original leather seat which just lifts off. The leather was quite torn & perished, so we had it re-upholstered in deep buttoned leather & hand coloured, so it looks original to the piece.
