Regency Gilt Pier Wall Mirror

19th century
Description

A nicely gilded (not painted!) Regency mirror having a bevelled glass.

It has an ebonised, reeded slip around the glass, concave fluted columns with pretty capitals. The panel is lovely with ebonised wooded decoration applied to the gilded panel. Below the classical break front cornice there is a line of gilded balls.
