Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

19th-century pastoral oil paintings typically depict rural scenery, livestock, and natural landscapes, reflecting Romanticism and the popularity of agrarian subjects across Europe.

These artworks were executed using oil pigments on stretched canvas or timber panels, presented within wood and composition frames finished with gold leaf.

Authentic period works exhibit age-appropriate craquelure across the paint layer, natural canvas darkening on the reverse, and period-correct frame construction and gilding wear.

A pastoral landscape can serve as a focal point above a console table or mantelpiece, contrasting traditional gilded frame details against minimalist wall finishes or dark panelled backdrops.

Keep the painting away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity changes, dust gently with a soft dry brush, and consult a professional conservator for surface cleaning.
