Description

Superb pair of tall late 19th.c. Dutch Art Nouveau carved oak panels c.1890. Very nearly 5'6" tall, carved with allagorical winged female figures representing the evening (Avond) and morning (Morgen). Note the beautifully observed floral detail and unusual Art Nouveau typeface used. Arched panels within moulded surrounds with ebonised edges. Excellent condition.
