Well-cast mid C19th gilded bronze lamp-base with classically-inspired lotus and classical leaf decoration . The reeded shaft with applied stiff-leaf decoration , the whole raised on an octagonal base with flower-head cast motifs . The top with a cast flambeau style mount . The underside of the base fitted with an original iron weight to provide extra stability .

Decorative ormolu bronze lamp of impressive proportions with a subtle aged patina and colour .

Has been sympathetically re-wired using cotton-covered period-style flex and tested ready to use .
