Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.

In very good antique condition, though missing one tiny gold ball. The pearls retain their nacre, the opal is smooth and glossy and the hinge and clasp work perfectly.
Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.
Size: 5cm tip to tip x 2cm. The opal is 1 x 0.8cm.
Weight: 5.8g.
