Here is a stunning quality antique Scottish Art Deco burr walnut two-door wardrobe by A & W Stewart, Glasgow, Scotland, circa 1930, with attractive small proportions and in excellent original condition. The two-door wardrobe boasts stunning mirror matched burr walnut veneers, along with elegant curved corners and edges and original vertical stepped metal and burr walnut effect handles. The right-hand door features the original working lock, with a working key. All internal locking catches are present and in good working condition. The doors open to reveal a hanging rack to the inside of the left door. The main interior comprises a full width storage shelf to the top, below which, on the left-hand side is a telescopic hanging rail, with a shoe rack at the bottom. The right-hand side of the interior comprises four storage shelves. The wardrobe sits on the original curved bracket feet. This is a single piece wardrobe, featuring small proportions, which enable it to be carried easily into the bedroom.

Condition Report:
This wardrobe is in excellent original condition. The wardrobe has been traditionally French polished by hand in our workshop, to a professional standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. All internal door locking catches are present and in good working condition. The wardrobe retains its original metal and burr walnut effect handles and curved bracket feet. The brass door lock is original and in working condition, with a working key. There are no splits to the doors and they close flush to the frame. The interior is clean and the wardrobe is solid in joint and ready to use.
