Antique Chinoiserie papier mache tea caddy, circa 1870.
Made in the Chinese Export style.
Hand painted gold lacquer decoration with black pen-work details and raised white lacquer faces.
European, probably French.
Retaining much of the original tin foil lining and inner lid.
Lock with no key.
In very good bright condition, some light wear from age and use.
4,3/8'' x 4,3/8'' x 4,1/2'' or 110mm x 110mm x 115mm, weight 357 grams.
