Pair of Mahogany Open Armchairs C.1830.

Description

Fine pair of Regency era mahogany open armchairs c.1830. Solid mahogany frames with curved cresting rail and shaped rear stiles. Shaped arms with scroll carved terminals on scrolling supports and carved front legs, all with repeated papyrus leaf detail. Carved anthemion motif at the sides and the legs ending in neat little carved feet. Padded back rest and seat with vintage floral tapestry covers. Excellent colour and condition, solid and sturdy, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
