Description

A vintage ring with a beautiful lavender coloured amethyst set in solid 14-carat gold (white gold with areas of yellow gold).

The amethyst (9 x 8mm) is a very unusual cut - it is faceted on the back and the front is a flat smooth curve (not a cabochon) giving the illusion of a briolette cut with a fabulous reflective depth and lots of colour.

In very good vintage condition.

Marked 14K inside the shank.

Size: M (UK), 6 (US). The oval face of the ring is 1.4 x 1.1mm, and it sits around 6mm above the finger. The shank is a knife-edge style, approx 1mm in profile.
