Circa 1870, Louis XV style burr walnut bureau plat. With a well-shaped top in quarter matching burr walnut veneers, a simple moulded edge and a deep shaped and veneered frieze which continues on all sides (making it free standing). All standing on cabriole legs with gilded ormolu mounts on the knees which continue down the facing and finish above a curled toe.
