A fascinating and unusual Edwardian mahogany and satinwood banded secretaire writing cabinet. The domed lid lifts and the fall opens to reveal a very unusual well fitted mahogany and Moroccan leather interior. Including pigeonholes, stationary compartments, set of postal scales with weights, pull-out mahogany box, glass paste jar with box, watch holder, 2 photo frames/ message boards, telegram folder, paper clip/pin holder, 2 ink pots, 2 candlesticks and 9 labeled drawers with metal. handles. The base having a single inlaid drawer with further Moroccan leather and 4 secret drawers. The whole raised on cabriole legs with a supporting three quarter galleried under tier. Condition - Very good and original with 1 leather corner bracket on the blotter absent. Transports in 2 pieces with U.K. mainland delivery at £55. Dimensions:- Height…45.5''/ 115.5cm.
