Description

A good quality large circular silver rose bowl on a stepped pedestal base with a single band running around the middle of the otherwise plain body and finished with a stepped everted rim. Either side are 2 ornate scrolling handles.

Hallmarked for Sheffield 1905, makers James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin).

It measures 23cm (9 1/8") rim to rim, 33cm (13") across the handles and 18.7cm (7 3/8") high to the handles, 15cm (5 7/8") to the rim. It weighs 981g / 31.6ozt. It has a capacity of over 3 litres.

Condition is excellent with no damage or dents and only light surface wear, the top part of the maker's mark is worn but all other marks are clear.
