Rare Sterling Silver Figural Box - Baby in Rocking Cradle - Import - Sheffield 1896

Description

A wonderful and rare little box, I have not seen before with it's lift off lid.

The box is in the form of a rocking cradle and does actually rock from side to side, beautifully made with the cradle made to resemble wicker work.

The silver was imported to England in 1896 and has a good clear hallmark for Sheffield 1896.

Quite stunning and a charming "must-have" collectible for the discerning. Excellent condition, measuring 1 3/8" long x 1 1/4" wide (handle to handle) x 1 1/8" tall.
