English Victorian Sterling Silver Lidded Cylindrical Box - 1895

Description

A beautiful embossed cylindrical box with all over repousse decoration incorporating a plethora of scrolls amongst other designs.

The glorious lid is domed with a large vacant cartouche to the top which could be engraved if desired.

Hallmarked for Sheffield 1895, a good Victorian period example it remains in excellent condition and measuring 3" tall to top of dome with a lid diameter measuring 2 3/4". Weighing 3.75 troy ounces or 116.5 grams.
