Description

An unusual Victorian telescope dating to around 1860 made from wonderful polished solid English brass, which has just been professionally polished to gleam.

It's unusual due to the covering of the barrel with a black woven fabric and a string coloured woven cord top and bottom with a tab integrated into each.

The lens has a brass cover and the eye piece has a little integrated shutter to protect the eye hole.

Excellent condition, measuring 7" in length extending to 19" in length.
