A Superb Quality Victorian Period Walnut Marquetry Inlaid Credenza

Description

A superb quality Victorian Period walnut Marquetry inlaid credenza. Having a raised mirrored back with an ormolu gallery and finely cast ormolu mounts banded in kingwood.The lower section is of serpentine outline and veneered in beautiful figured walnut with fine floral marquetry inlaid detail and an ormolu moulded edge. The central section with glazed doors enclosing birds eye maple veneered shelves and ormolu beading flanked by further cast ormolu mounts. The serpentine end doors having wonderful inlaid panels depicting floral urns in a variety of exotic veneers. All standing on a serpentine burr walnut veneered plinth. English circa 1860-1880

Dimensions: 58" high x 73" wide x 17" deep

Condition: This credenza is in superb original condition, cleaned and waxed
