Georgian Coopered Tobacco Box. Circa 1820

18th century
Description

Most attractive late Georgian coopered oval tobacco or tea box made using various woods with callamander lid. Brass bound with split hinged lid fitted with decorative brass hinge and hinged hasp. All in superb un-touched original condition. Great colour with fine waxed patina. An unusual item on treen. Possibly Dutch.

Size; 5" high, 6" wide, 7" deep.
