Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.

In daylight the quartz has an opalescent moonstone-like quality. When hit with a bright light or strong sunlight, the quartz flashes with a stunning star sapphire effect. This is definitely a piece which looks better in the flesh!

Likely dating from around 1910.
In very good antique/vintage condition; the crisp edges of the sinuous flower and leaf design have worn smoother with age. The quartz surface feels smooth and glassy though the surface shows light overall abrasions under magnification (not obvious to the naked eye).

Marked ZW&Co, SILVER, MADE IN ENGLAND.
Size: H (UK), 4 (US), a fairly small size. North to south the ring measures 2.2cm at the front and the cabochon is 1.2 x 1cm. The top sits around 1.2cm above the finger.
Weight: 9.6g.
