Mahogany Inlaid Open Bookcase C.1900

1900 - 1920
Description

A good quality mahogany and inlaid open bookcase from the Edwardian period.

The figured rectangular top having satinwood banding between boxwood and ebony line inlay with a high quality cast brass fretted gallery.

The front frieze and front stiles with matching satinwood banding and boxwood stringing.

The dimensions of the bookcase are very good making it a very useful piece of furniture, it benefits from having three adjustable good sized shelves which are faced with mahogany and matching line inlay.

This well proportioned piece of furniture is in excellent original condition, having beautiful colour and patination, ready to go straight into any home.
