Framed Royal Vienna Hand Painted Porcelain Cabinet Plate of Paris and Helena

Description

A framed Royal Vienna cabinet plate, hand painted with a central scene depicting the lovers Paris and Helena, within a cobalt blue border richly gilded with foliate reserves, cross-hatching and jeweling, within a gilt gesso foliate frame with velvet and pierced gilt metal applied mount.

With blue beehive backstamp and titled Paris & Helena to the reverse. In perfect condition with no damage or restoration. The gilt gesso frame has some small losses and the velvet is faded.
