Description

For sale is a good quality Georgian mahogany tambour front roll top desk. The top having a gallery with a tambour below, opening to reveal a fitted interior comprising pigeon holes above a row of drawers with another row of dummy drawers below. The desk is fitted with a pull out writing surface, inset with a green baise. Below this, there is a single drawer with two brass handles. At the top of the drawer is a manual locking system for the tambour when it is closed. The desk stands on square tapering legs terminating on original castors. Overall, this piece is in very good condition, showing minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
