Aramis Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The drawer below pulls out to reveal a drop flap front, and a deep display/storage space behind. It’s likely that originally there were pigeon holes at the back of this space, removed at some earlier time (not by us).

The sides, carcass, shelf and supports are solid mahogany. Flame mahogany veneer has been used to embellish the back, top and front.
All in all, this is a lovely versatile piece for storage, serving, display or writing/laptop. With a quite narrow dimension, it can fit easily into many spaces in the home.
Max dimensions given. The cellarette is 35cmH. 38cmW. 38cmD.
