The movement is a high quality grade 337 model 6.
At manufacture in 1911 this was adjusted 5 ways to give remarkable accuracy and reliability. Today it runs strong and keeps good time to within a minute or so per day, good for an antique watch. The watch is pendant wound and set with both functions operating well.
This high quality movement housed in an equally good 25 year gold filled case (the 25 year being an indicator of thickness of gold ranging from 5 year to 30 year, but I have never come across better than 25). This is a slim full hunter by Keysyone watch case co. hinged front and rear with an internal hinged dust cover. All of the hinges straight and all of the covers close square and tight. There are no visible dents, dings or heavy scratches on the case with just light surface scratching to betray age and use. The pendant crown and bow all good with no noticeable wear. An excellent case!
The single sunk enamel dial heavily decorated with Masonic symbols with the "All seeing eye", square and compasses taking centre stage. The dial in excellent as new condition with nice gilt coloured hands indicating the time, all residing under a clear acrylic crystal.
Overall, a lovely example of this high quality watch in excellent nick, ready to be carried to that next Masonic meeting when the Lodges resume. Reference SB
