Description

Circa 1900 a highly decorative, hard wood (possibly Oak) tea caddy with two original tin canisters inside. The exterior except for the back is highly decorated, and it still has the original key and working lock.

The caddy measures 21cm in height; 29cm in width and has a depth of 15.5cm. The tin caddies are 13cm square and 19cm in height.

There are no signs of damage or repair on any of the items including the tin caddies which have aged over time, but they are sound with no splits or tears.

The decoration on the front of the box shows a pair of long tailed birds, with flowers around, and the sides of the box have a floral design.
