~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A stunning original antique French clock set. It is of Empire design in crisp white Carrera marble and ormolu (finely gilded bronze). To the top is a beautifully modelled spread eagle with flaming finals to the sides. The clock is supported by two tapered columns with the ormolu pendulum swinging between.
The whole garniture embellished with stylised classical anthemion ormolu bronze mounts. The dial is porcelain enamel with floral swags with it's original blued steel Breguet hands and convex glass. The rear door is glazed with frosted glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Ormolu pendulum is orignal. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock, please ask for a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the ormolu is in excellent clean and bright condition with some minor marks, discolouration or tarnish. The marble is also excellent with just some tiny nibbles to the edges and some slight discolouration.
