Youngs Antiques has dated this piece to the 16th Century.
Lavishly carved throughout; the cupboard has four turned supports with a triple arcaded and canted top with a central cupboard door above a single large arabesque strap-work draw and a pot board shelf at the bottom.

The cupboard door opens with a finger push latch, cleverly disguised within the carved arcaded frame work.
There has been a couple of very minor old restorations to the livery cupboard; a piece of timber has been replaced at the back of the pot board and there has been a small repair to the back left corner of the top plank. Two of the original oak backboards have been replaced with two larger pine boards - probably in the late 18th century.
These cupboards are rare to find and this particular example is in excellent original condition for its age and has a fantastic rich patina.
