Carved bone double cased French perfume / smelling salt bottle, circa 1790,
A rare survivor, still complete with both plain turned bone outer protective case and turned carved and pierced ivory inner case.
The bottle with original glass stopper and silver gilt screw on cover.
All in very good sound condition noting small repair to the inner cover bottom ( see photos four and eight) and insignificant hairlines.
Height of outer case 3,3/4'' or 96mm
