Pair of Copeland Parian Figures the Rustic Children C1880s

Description

Pair of Copeland Parian figures know as The Rustic Children of England or The young naturalist and companion

The sculptor was RJ Morris, the female figure is stamped R J Morris

Both have the impressed Copeland copyright reserved marks to the back of the base

The figures date from the late 19th Century, the boy has the impressed mark Y84 for 1884 and the girl Y79 for 1879

Condition - Good, The boy has a small chip to the edge of the base below the Copeland stamp also on the inside of the base there are a few small chips.The girl should have a butterfly on her hand , this is missing, there is no other damage.Neither of the figures have any restoration.

The boy measures 42cm high and the girl 40cm
