It is rare to see a pair of chairs as in this case where both front and back legs are sabred pointing to left and right. The sabred leg is always associated with being a feature of Regency furniture where it is viewed as a symbol of Great Britain’s naval supremacy and is sometimes referred to as a Trafalgar Leg after Nelson’s famous naval engagement.
