An Important Early 18th Century Irish Silver Table, Circa 1730

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Alexander George Antiques Ltd.

An important early 18th-century Irish silver table, circa 1730, with the most wonderful moulded scrolling legs terminating on panelled feet.

The table is most likely by the same maker as a pair from Killuddery, Co. Wicklow, now in private collection. They were probably supplied to Chaworth Brabazon, sixth Earl of Meath (1686-1763) around the time of his marriage in 1731.

Whether you are a collector or a first-time buyer the choice of pieces will inspire. Each has been carefully selected for its exceptional design and provenance, as well as in many instances its academic significance.
