Description

A delightful oil on wood panel portrait of two hounds or pointers, against a greenish mottled background, initialled at centre base “WFM”. From its style of painting, it most likely dates to the very early 20thc Edwardian era c1910. In very good condition, no damage or restoration. A charming picture showing good likeness and alertness and painted in warm tones.

It appears to be in its original frame but the backpaper has been removed at some stage (not by us).
