Description

Mid 19th.c. walnut framed couch or settee c.1860. Exceptional shapely carved and moulded walnut frame with unusual design to the sides and curving arms on swept arm supports. Crisp acanthus leaf details and scratch carved decoration. Turned front legs and splayed rear legs all raised on small brass castors. Buttoned backrest and padded arms over a generous sprung seat all upholstered in a pale pink velvet chenille. Frame is in good condition with no wobbles, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Upholstery is serviceable but with some marks and missing portions of braid.
