Description A beautiful English antique solid sterling silver & faux tortoiseshell jewellery box by the silversmiths Atkin Brothers - (1896 - 1929) in lovely condition and with a full set of English silver hallmarks Birmingham 1918. Excellent quality genuine 102 year old silver example; (definitely not a modern re-production), with a hinged silver lid and with protruding banded side rims to assist lid opening. It is decorated on the top with a fine undamaged faux tortoiseshell panel and inside it is complete with its original velvet lining. It weighs approx 51 grams and there are no added personal engraved monograms or inscriptions.

Measurements Measures approx 2.7 inches (68mm) in diameter x 1.25 inches (32mm) and is 0.9 inches (23mm) deep.
Date English antique solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1918 (date letter "t"). Has matching hallmark stamps on box and lid.

Maker Silversmiths initials "H A", (Atkin Brothers - 1896 - 1929).
Condition Lovely condition, with no splits or solder repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, just a couple of teeny little bruises, really nothing and a very nice example.
