Description

For sale is a very good quality burr walnut dome top bureau bookcase. The top of the bookcase has three finials with two glazed doors below. The doors open to reveal a superbly fitted interior which includes multiple drawers, pigeon holes and shelves. Below the doors there are two candle slides above the bureau section. The fall front opens to reveal a beautifully fitted and stepped interior, also displaying multiple drawers and pigeon holes as well as a leather insert decorated with gold tooling. The interior of the bureau also has a well and a cupboard to the centre, within the cupboard are two secret compartments. The top of the base section has three dummy drawers with three long drawers below. This item has been completely restored and re-polished by hand, making it a superb piece in excellent condition.
