Description

A fabulous brooch which typifies the Arts and Crafts movement and its focus on traditional craftsmanship and stripped-back elegance. The piece is rendered in a lovely soft rose gold and inset with a turquoise matrix cabochon with milgrain edging.

We believe the brooch to originate from the highly collectible Anglo-German jeweller Murrle Bennett and Company (1896-1916) but the piece is not signed. Marked 9CT on the back.

In good antique condition, there are a couple of little dings on one leaf and the edge just next to it (see photos).

Size: 2.5cm diameter. The turquoise is 7mm across.
