Antique Burr Walnut Vanity or Work Table

Description

Antique walnut vanity or work table dating from the 1850’s period & in excellent original condition. All of the top section is burr walnut & the front is concave with all four corners being chamfered. The inside is beautifully fitted out with all the original features & compartments. There is even a mirror, which gives me to the opinion that this was used as a vanity table & not a work table. The solid walnut pedestal is finely carved & turned all the way down & sits on a solid walnut tripod base. This table is good quality, free from warps & splits. I think it’s actually French, although it does have a typical English William IV style.

Depth – 16 inches, 41 cm

Height – 29 inches, 74 cm
