Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch is the calibre 30T2 15 jewels manual wind movement which is regarded as the finest manual wind movement ever made by Omega and the same as used by the military during WWII, as you can see it is in fabulous condition.
It is rare in as much as it has its original sub seconds dial which is in superb near mint condition, it has not been restored or retouched in any way. It has solid gold hands and its original solid gold non logo crown. A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished so it is in exceptional condition.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case. It comes with a brand new high quality wooden presentation box.
It comes complete with a new premium quality black leather strap.
Omega are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class indeed this is the best original and untouched dial we have ever come across on a 1940s watch and is near perfect.
The watch case measures 34mm in diameter not including the crown.
The watch has been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Omega in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
