Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The solid mahogany frames are intricately carved above gadrooned edges & sit on claw & ball feet. This lower carving goes all the way around the chairs & even on the backs. The leather upholstery, which is naturally aged is all in good condition & we have just had it professionally revived & polished. Check out the shape of the frames behind the back cushions & also how the leather is hand studded on to the frames. The arms roll over the sides slightly & they are carved on the fronts. These armchairs are extremely high quality.
