Description

This is an unusual and very stylish Novelty silver desk combination photo frame / paperweight. Dated Birmingham 1902 it was made by Charles Penny Brown. The weighted triangular body covered with the original red Morocco leather. The sloping front fitted with a solid planished silver frame incorporating a glazed slot to slide a photograph.

Hallmarks:

CPB for Charle Penny Brown.

Lion passant.

Birmingham mark.

Date letter "c" for 1902.

Condition:

Leather in fair condition.

Silver in very good condition.

Dimensions:

Depth: 4cm / 1.4 inches.

Height: 5cm / 2 inches.

Width: 6cm / 2.1 inches

Aperture diameter: 4.5cm / 2 inches
