Sheraton Form Demi-lune Inlaid Card Table of the Highest Quality

18th century
Description

A very attractive Sheraton period demi-lune CARD TABLE of the highest quality, in a mix of inlaid veneers including mahogany, satinwood and walnut, with inlaid fan decoration on top, and an oval panel to the front.

There is kingwood cross-banding to the top, front and legs. The top lifts to reveal a light brown baize playing surface (probably replaced).

The two rear legs are hinged and pull out to support the unfolded top. The decorated tapering legs end in squared spade feet.
