Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The high quality 8 day German movement strikes on the half-hour and the hour.

The white enamelled dial has black Roman numerals with nicely cut hands and a subsiduary seconds dial. The brass weights and pendulum are all in very good order.
This unusual case is a cut above most clocks of this type both in style and quality being made of walnut with ebonised additions. It retains it's origional French-polished finish and has a wonderful age-related patina. All dimensions include finials.
An absolutely pristine clock.
