The stiles having half round applied columns supported with well carved top and bottom corbels. The 2 glazed doors open to reveal 2 adjustable walnut faced shelves and are secured with working lock & keys. The base section having a very good secretaire consisting of 6 maple veneered and mahogany lined drawers each retaining the original brass axe head handles and 6 shaped top pigeonholes. The writing surface still retains the green baize and the fall is secured with a Bramah lock and 2 keys. The lower cupboard having conforming applied columns and corbels with 2 glazed doors, adjustable shelf and working lock with keys.
