A Superb Pair of Georgian Lidded Condiment Pots

A superb pair of cut glass lidded condiment pots from early in the Georgian Regency period. These gorgeous examples are of rounded form, with stunning cutting in the Irish taste. The bodies and lids have matching design and the bases are cut with a stylized star. The lids are removed via a slice cut knop and the overall colour tone is a beautiful grey/blue. These fine pieces are good collector's items and rather difficult to find, particularly with lids intact.

Being hand made they are more precisely two of the same set rather than a pair, strictly speaking. The bowls and lids are slightly different in size from each other, but the cutting and designs on each are the same. Good examples for the table, being both practical and decorative.
