Pair of Regency Mahogany Open Armchairs C.1820.

Description

Fine pair of Regency era mahogany open armchairs c.1820. Solid mahogany frames of restrained design with simple moulded detail to the back stretchers and stiles, and low turned finials to the tops. Slim shaped arms on turned supports over a loose seat pad freshly upholstered in a pale grey chenille. Tapering square front legs joined rwith cross and side stretchers for extra strength. Excellent colour and condition. Repairs where the tops of the arms meet the backrests, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
