Description

Fabulous quality Queen Anne style walnut sideboard made by H & L Epstein in the 1930’s period. It’s in excellent condition & has just been French polished. It has a burr walnut back frieze & top with a cross banded edge. The cupboards have burr walnut panels & the drawer fronts are also burr walnut. The top shaped edge is carved all the way around & the solid walnut legs are carved on the tops & bottom of the feet. The inside of this sideboard is nicely fitted out too, with cutlery drawers & a shelf. I particularly like the flutes on the three middle drawers & also the beautiful burr walnut grain patterns all over. There’s a very fine attention to detail all over & one particular example is the burr walnut chamfered canted corners.
