A Fine Late 17th - Early 18th Century Wriggle Work Charger.

Description

A fine late 17th - early 18th century wriggle work charger having a fantastic polished lustre.

The charger has a single reeded and stepped rim with a decorative wriggle work vase with sun flowers and tulips centre.

There are two rubbed marks to the reverse, with only one being partially complete. I have been unable to identify the marks at this current moment but further research is yet to be carried out.

The pewter mark that is visible is very similar to that of some English and Netherlands marks.

The charger has got some minor age related holes and has had a split in the centre at some stage which has been repaired a long time ago.
