Description

A wonderful quality English biscuit barrel (cookie jar) made from thick crystal and beautifully cut making this a highly decorative piece.

The handle really adds to it's appeal, cast in a most attractive design and silver plated to match all the other fittings. The makers mark is to be found on the underside of the lid S L & S and EPN for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.

This superb example dates to around 1880, Victorian in era and remains in excellent condition. The barrel measures 6" tall with a lid diameter of 4 1/4". Including the folding handle the piece stands 11" tall.
